In a musical tribute to Galileo and his father Vincenzo, Consort Astraea presents a performance of images, dialogue and Renaissance and Baroque music on period instruments at the National Press Club in Canberra on 4 March.

Galileo himself will make an appearance, in the person of Questacon presenter Patrick Helean.
The performance, “Harmonious Revolutions: Galileo and the Music of the Spheres”, features works by Vincenzo and Michaelagnolo Galilei, Kapsperger, Cavalieri, Peri, Caccini, Monteverdi, Malvezzi, Allegri, Boesset and Gabrieli.
This event is sponsored by the National Academies Forum in association with the inaugural Higher Education Conference of Universities Australia.
